Welcome
According to Oliver Wendell Holmes, “A page of history is worth a pound of logic.” Therefore, spending time learning about history and expanding your knowledge is worth the effort. On this page, I’m going to showcase three of the topics my class learned about in social studies, including: the Whiskey Rebellion, the Boston Massacre, and the Revolutionary War. I picked the Revolutionary War because it is not only one of the most significant parts U.S. history, but world history. The American colonists were able to win a war against one of the greatest armies of that time, which inspired other countries to fight for their rights. I chose the Boston Massacre because I think it’s a great example of the conflicts between the colonists and the British before the Revolutionary War. And last but not least, I picked the Whiskey Rebellion because this event showed how necessary a militia or other kinds of enforcement are to keep law in order. I believe that these topics are very fascinating and I promise that you will enjoy this page.
Specifically, this webpage will consist of a summary of the topics in discussion, and writings related to the previously stated topics. All of these writings will explain how some of the people felt during these historical events. Take your time wandering around this page and hopefully something new will be brought to your attention.
